There are 2 ways to create a 3D Sunpath:
From Model (recommended): Preload coordinates via File > Add Location (SketchUp 2024+) or File > Geo-location (SketchUp 2023 and earlier) for accurate results.
Manual Input: Manually enter coordinates to generate the sun path.

DST Support: In temperate countries, time zones shift seasonally to make better use of daylight. Enable this option if your location observes Daylight Saving Time.

[FIRST FUNCTION]

Create Sunpath from Coordinates

  1. From Model (recommended): Pre-load coordinates via File > Add Location (SketchUp 2024 and later) or File > Geo-location (SketchUp 2023 and earlier) for accurate results.

  2. Manual Input: Enter coordinates manually to generate a Sun path

  3. Daylight Saving Time (DST) :Adjustments to calculate the correct sun path for countries with seasonal time zones

[SECOND FUNCTION]

Create Shadow Analysis

  1. Select a time frame → Click Apply → SunDiagram will automatically display shadows & Sun position.

[THIRD FUNCTION]

Export Shadow Analysis (Still Images)

  1. Batch export images based on selected time frames (e.g., December 6 AM – 6 PM, June 5 AM – 8 PM).

  2. Images can be combined into PDFs or videos using external software (PDF, Photoshop).
